Sploot alert! When a cat flops down like a fuzzy pancake with their little back legs kicked out like they're about to launch into a jazz split — that, my friend, is peak sploot.

Why do they do it? Who knows. Who cares. All that matters is there's suddenly a long, leggy loaf sprawled across the kitchen floor like they pay rent and own the place.

One minute they're zooming at 100 miles per hour, the next they're fully melted into the ground like a scoop of tabby sherbet. It's the ultimate drama queen move. "Oh, me? I'm just exhausted from knocking your water glass off the table for the third time. Let me just… collapse gracefully."

Some cats go for the full sploot, legs behind like furry baguettes. Others give us a lazy half-sploot, one drumstick tucked in, the other out like they forgot what they were doing halfway through. Either way, 10/10. Would admire again.

Sploot on, kitties. The floor is your stage, and your beans are the show.

Here's a story that every cat pawrent, accidental adopter, or CDS believer will feel deep in their whiskers. Sometimes, the Cat Distribution System doesn't deliver with a meow at the door. Sometimes, it tiptoes across your bed and leaves pawprints on your heart before you even realize what's happening. That's exactly how this cat arrived - uninvited, uninterested in cuddles, and yet absolutely meant to be.

The hooman in this story was never a "cat person". But as so many of us have learned, the CDS doesn't care what kind of pet person you think you are. It sends the right cat, at the right time, whether you're ready or not. And sometimes, the cat isn't ready either. This was no instant love story - this cat invader watched from a distance for over two months, never allowing touch, never showing trust… until one day, out of nowhere, he did. That sudden moment of acceptance? A miracle only fellow feline fanatics will understand.

What makes this story so relatable isn't just the surprise cat adoption - it's the deeper truth many of us have felt: that cats don't just fill a home. They fill a hole we didn't even know was there. In this case, Ares the cat showed up two weeks after a long-term relationship ended. He brought purpose and companionship. A bond that asked for patience and returned it with loyalty.

So here's to the mysterious meowgic of the CDS - always watching, always waiting, always pouncing at the purrfect time.

It's a tale as old as time, a song as old as rhyme - family yearns for a cat, the Cat Distribution System hears their cries, and then it delivers them a cat purrfectly suited for them. The CDS's methods are wide and varied. Sometimes the cat sneaks into your bag without you noticing, sometimes the cat just follows you home, and on occasion, the CDS has been known to employ doggos to deliver said kittens into your home and heart

This family's dog started barking outside at what seemed to be a tiny furball in the driveway. The dad went out to see what was going on, and realized that the tiny floof in the driveway was actually a tiny kitten! As if someone had heard their wishes (his wife and son were just talking about how they wanted a cat - what a coincidence!), the CDS sent this kitten straight to their doorstep. Now, her name is 'Mew' and she's loved by all family members, both two and four-legged!

One of the most meowgical and kind of hilarious things about the cat distribution system is that it often seems to choose people who want nothing to do with cats at all. We, cat people, sometimes wait decades to be chosen by a cat. Meanwhile, there goes another cat hater getting adopted.

Countless times at this point, we have seen people who hate cat get adopted by them, people who never wanted a cat getting adopted by them. And now, add to the list someone who is terrified of cats getting adopted by one. Because that is what happened here. This person may not know it yet, but we do, and this cat does, and the fact that they are willing to sit outside with the cat for hours in the freezing cold just so the cat is not left alone… that's all the proof we need. You've been chosen. That is an honor that is not bestowed on everyone.

Moving in together is a huge test to a relationship. Moving in together when there are pets involved somehow makes the whole thing even more difficult. You don't know which sides of your partner you're going to see when you are with them 24/7, and unfortunately, we have seen people break up once they moved in with each other and each other's pets. We've seen a man break up with his girlfriend of 9 years because she cuddles her cat at night. We've seen a woman break up with her boyfriend because he didn't get along with her cat. We've even seen a girlfriend be jealous of her boyfriend's affection toward his cat and him break up with her over that.

It always feels unexpected. And it always hurts. And it hurt this time as well. Because in a two-year relationship, where things seemed to be going well, stable, this couple made a complete 180 after moving in together.

Cats and music. Two things that make life instantly better, and when you put them together? Pawsitively iconic. Whether it's a fluffy tabby sprawled on a record player like it's a VIP lounge, or a dramatic meow breaking the silence like a true opera diva, cats know how to enjoy a good tune.

Some like to vibe in silence, eyes closed, soaking in every note like they're deep in a jazz club. Others prefer chaos: yowling along to pop songs, slapping piano keys like they're composing the next big hit, or attacking your headphones mid-chorus because their taste is clearly superior. And let's not forget the ones who love to nap right in front of the speaker.

They might not read music, but they sure know how to feel it. With every tail flick, ear twitch, and soulful stare into the distance, these fur-covered music critics remind us that the best way to enjoy a song is with your whole heart… and maybe a little cattitude.

Hello there, fellow feline fanatics! Today we're here to celebrate what cats do best: being effortlessly adorable and living a worry-free life of luxury. While we humans juggle calendars, emails, and the occasional existential crisis, our feline overlords are busy perfecting the art of loafing in sunbeams, slow blinking while being chill, and reminding us that they are in charge of the vibes.

Sure, sometimes they sprinkle some chaos into the mix - zooming at 3 AM or launching themselves off countertops like fuzzy missiles - but at the core of it all, cats are just tiny, purring, wholesome bundles of comfort and cuteness. And that's exactly what we're focusing on today.

We've gathered a heartwarming collection of wholesome and funny cat pics, ideal for that midday scroll when you need a reminder that life has soft and fluffy moments too. They go great with a cup of coffee (hot or iced - depending on your weather), a snack, and five minutes of guilt-free joy. So go ahead, paws your day, and let the sweetness of these purring pals wash over you. You deserve a little pawsitive pick-me-up.

If you are forced to rehome your cat, that is your time to say goodbye. There are no "take-backsies" after giving your fluffy feline up to another purrson that loves them.

Rehoming a cat, and introducing them to a new household, is a daunting task. Cats, despite all of their stereotypes, are sensitive creatures and take a lot of time to adjust to new surroundings. It took one of our rescues three full months before she felt comfortable sleeping on the couch, or in her bed. The first couple of weeks, she hid under the bed. You have to give them their space to come to you.

So imagine adopting a friend's rehomed cat, taking the time to introduce it to your own cat, and then falling in love with your new fuzzy feline. Then, five months later, the original owner comes back and demands their cat back! No thanks, this cat is ours now. Don't let the door hit you on the way out! Scroll down to read through the spicy story below.

If you have never seen a Maincoon house cat you might be startled at first. They are usually very large—probably the same size as your medium sized dog! The breed has beautiful lush coats and tend to be very friendly. They're like the big friendly giants of house cats! It's rare you find one of these babies out on the streets since they are such a cared for breed. Their friendliness attracts cat lovers from all over, and their needed haircare keeps their owners very hands on.

So, if they are left to their own survival, it doesn't tend to bode well for them. Luckily, that's rarely the case, but that doesn't stop tragedy from striking. Take these three magnificent and very friendly Maincoons. They were loved for many many years by a woman who took very good care of them, but suddenly tragedy struck and she was gone. The cats were left with her father, who, unfortunately, is very elderly and deteriorating mentally…

Cats fight.

They're little belligerent fighting beasts, actually, if you think about it. I had an outdoor cat growing up—I know, it's controversial, but I was only a child—and that scrappy outdoor kitty was the queen of the block. Pookie was her name, and feline demolition was her game. She would never let rival cats enter our yard; her territory was HER TERRITORY.

As a result, I always believed that cats just simply didn't get along with other cats, which is more or less correct. However, there are some magical instances where kitties can shatter the stereotype. Shedding their battle mittens, and channeling their inner cuddle bug, cats can bond with one another unlike any other animal in the world. And when a car has bonded with another, not only is it adorable, but it's a like meowracle in the making.

Keep scrolling for the incredible story of two unlikely feline allies who shattered the mold and made kitty history with their incredible friendship, forged on the rooftop of a purrcarious high-rise building.

Ahoy, meowties! These cattains aren't just sailing the high seas. They're fishing for compliments (and maybe a little tuna on the side). Whether they're posing like fluffy figureheads or keeping a close paw on the bait bucket, these nautical kitties know how to reel in attention and snacks.

Some are seasoned sailors, swatting at fishing lines with the grace of a true predator. Others are just here for the sun, the breeze, and the chance to nap in a warm dinghy. But make no mistake. Every cattain here knows they're the main event. Fish or no fish.

From yacht life to dockside loafing, these boat-bound floofs exude serious cattitude. They've claimed the captain's chair, rejected the catch of the day (twice), and demanded belly rubs at sea. And if the humans happen to catch a fish? Even better. They'll take it raw, thank you very much.

So cast off the lines and cue the dramatic wind. These cattains are ready to make waves, soak up praise, and snack away.

Cats complaining? Oh, they're absolute experts at that! When it comes to letting you know what's wrong, these furry critics don't hold back one bit. Whether it's the tragedy of an empty food bowl, the shock of a moved sunbeam, or the catastrophe of a closed door, cats have truly mastered the art of vocal purrsistence.

Their complaints come with dramatic tail flicks, exaggerated meows, and eye rolls that could rival any Broadway diva's performance. Try ignoring them, and you'll just get the purrformance turned up to eleven! From "This toy is a total catch and miss" to "How dare you mess with my purrfect nap spot!" these kitties have plenty to say. And they say it loud and clear.

They'll even bring out the big guns: a well-timed stare, a slow blink full of judgment, or a theatrical flop onto your keyboard just to make sure you notice. At the end of the day, we just have to grin and bear it because their adorably demanding ways are all part of their clawsome charm. After all, who else complains with such pawsitive flair?

This tale is a textbook case of feline friction brewing next door! Sam, the neighbors' senior cat with special needs, started slipping through the cat door into the quieter, dog-free home next door. At first, the neighbors were completely fine with it, even sending over his prescription food and medication to care for him while he visited. But tensions rose when Sam began spending more and more time there, sleeping overnight and soaking up the extra love and calm away from his noisy household.

Eventually, the neighbors clawed back their support, pulling his food and meds to try and lure him back home. This left Sam's new caretakers in a tough spot trying to juggle their own cats' meals while keeping Sam from sneaking extra bites, all amid a chorus of midnight meows and feline food drama. What started as a peaceful setup has turned into a full-on neighborhood cat feud. And Sam is caught right in the middle.

The host is now purrplexed and unsure what to do, as Sam simply won't stop coming over. This drama shows just how complicated cat custody can become when a furry friend finds comfort beyond their original home. Sometimes, the grass (and kibble) is greener next door!

Howdy pardners, we hope ya'll haven't been having too much of a tough time getting y'all horses to the watering hole, also known as your job. But thankfully we are not without feline flavored support when it comes to getting through the tough times and today is no different.

Well, it is a little different as we have hopped back in time and across a few different realities to bring you this collection midweek memes from the cowboy cat kingdom to boost your mood.
