Losing a cat is one of the hardest things that a feline pawrent has to go through in this life. As a pawrent you hope that the only time it will happen to you is when it is their natural time to leave this astral plane and move onto the next one, but that is unfortunately not always the case. Much as it was not the case for the feline pawrent of today's story, who sadly lost her thirteen-year-old cat child after a daring window escape.

With her heart in her mouth, his mother ran around frantically trying to find him or someone who could help her find her cat child. And with much might and effort, the discovery was made that he was hiding out in a basement. However, it seems that his escape was actually a sign of something else which is commonly found in the animal kingdom. When an animal knows their time has come, they often find themselves a place to go to be alone. It seems that this cat child knew his time had come, and sad as it was his mother found him in his last few moments, to at least muster a final goodbye.

'I know nothing about cats': Dog person discovers an abandoned smol kitten, he becomes a cat person

Posted by Ayala Sorotsky

We've long suspected that the Cat Distribution System isn't run by cats alone, and now we finally have proof: it's hiring dog agents. Yes, you heard us right - undercover good boys and good girls who act like loyal canines by day, and by night, deliver surprise kittens into unsuspecting human arms. This pupper here just gave away the secret, alerting his pawrent to a tiny bundle of fur who'd wandered onto their property. Imagine that job description: "Must wag tail, bork at squirrels, and work secretly as feline delivery officer". Honestly, the CDS really knows what it's doing. Dogs and cats may bicker sometimes, but when it comes to matchmaking kitties with their forever humans? They're clearly in cahoots. Mission complete: kitten secured, human heart melted.

The best part of this little tale isn't just the kitten glow-up in progress, but how the online feline family immediately rallied around this brand-new cat pawrent. From heartfelt encouragement to practical wisdom, the comment section was overflowing with kindness. That's what we love most about the online cat community - no matter where we live, what languages we speak, or whether we grew up dog people or cat people, one meow is enough to unite us. This human may have started out not knowing the first thing about raising a kitten, but with a chorus of cat lovers cheering him on, he'll never have to figure it out alone. That's the magic of cats: they don't just bring joy to households, they create connections across the world.

45+ Feisty Feline Memes to Spice Up Your Furiday With Cat Sass and Everything Nice

Posted by Ayala Sorotsky

Furiday has arrived, friends, and what better way to celebrate the end of the week than with the sassiest of creatures: cats. Honestly, we don't know how humans would survive the workweek without a healthy dose of feline silliness. Cats are like our built-in comedy show, bringing chaos, charm, and a splash of cattitude into our homes just when we need it most. And on a Friday? That's when their sass shines brightest.

Think about it: while we slog through meetings and responsibilities, cats are out there knocking cups off counters, zooming at 4 AM, and sitting directly on whatever we were just about to use. Cat antics might drive us a little crazy, but let's be real - they spice up our days more than anything else could. Life would be a lot duller without their furocious sense of humor.

So whether you're counting down the last minutes of the workday or already lounging on the couch with your feline overlord, these memes are the purrfect way to welcome Furiday. Cats have mastered the art of not caring, and that's exactly the energy we need heading into the weekend. Get ready for some claws-out comedy, whisker-fueled fun, and a whole lot of cattitude. Happy Furiday, hoomans - let's spice it up with some feline sass!

Stray Siamese cat who becomes a "regular" at gas station gets adorably adopted by employee, then het

Posted by Blake Seidel

It needs to be said for all those out there who still believe it: cats are not lazy. They may look lazy, and they may nap anywhere between 13-20 times per day, but they're just conserving their energy for when the time is right. Some kitties work overtime at the biscuit factory, some sell their wares to weary travelers in the middle of adventures, and some become gas station attendants. Some even become employee of the month!

After becoming a "regular" at a local gas station, this Siamese cat ended up getting roped into working there! One of the employees fell in love with him so much that he decided to adopt him. He has officially become the gas station's mascot, and even got his own purrfectly tailored uniform! The fluffy feline follows his hooman around, helping, boosting morale, and overall just being downright awwdorable. Whether he's working hard or hardly working, we can tell you for sure that he looks mighty purrfessional in his business attire. 10/10 would go there to get gas every single time.

20 Funniest Lol-Worthy Cat Memes of the Week From Your 'I Can Has Cheezburger' Feline Family (Septem

Posted by Blake Seidel

We missed you, feline fam. It's been a while since yours truly has been the one to introduce you to our funniest, lol-worthy cat memes of the week. We didn't go anywhere, we just thought we'd let another feline fanatic writer take the wheel for a while…. but now you're back with us. Aren't you lucky? We just couldn't be without you for too long because, like it says in the title, we are family. An online family, but a family nonetheless.

Family isn't always connected by lineage; a lot of people go out and choose their families when their relatives aren't ones to keep in contact. We had to do something similar - when we were 18, we moved out and started our own lives. We made friends and built what we call our "chosen family", close friends that are practically brothers and sisters to us, even older friends that act more like mother and father figures.

We guess what we're trying to say is that we missed sharing these fresh and funny memes with you every week because we know you'll appreciate them. Because our love of felines connects us even though we've never met. It's like giving someone a gift on Christmas that you just know they're going to love. It makes us happy to see you happy, so we hope you enjoy these funny felines below!

20 Pics of Cats Being Delightfully Derpy Little Gremlins of Cuteness

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

90% of the time, we, as the cat owners that we are, look at our cats and think that they are the cutest thing that has ever existed on the planet. And we are not exaggerating. Truly, we think that cats are too cute, and our cats are just one step above all other cats in terms of their adorability. With that said, we also know that our cats are complete and utter doofuses.

Look, we are not in denial. We know that our cats are derpy - as derpy as they are cute really. We know that cats are little gremlins. We know that they are ridiculous and silly and weird, and you know what? That is exactly what we love about them. When our cats, out of nowhere, decide that it is time to eat plants for no reason, or to bite our ankles at 3 in the morning, or that our face is the best and most comfortable place to plant their bootie right after their finished doing their business in their litterboxes… we know it's weird, and we also love them for it.

'She purred herself to sleep': Kind hooman rescues a terrified Siamese kitten that was all alone liv

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

When we tell you that cats domesticated themselves, we mean it. That is a fact. At some point in the past, cats simply decided that they were done with all of this hunting and surviving stuff and that it was time to start getting spoiled by humans. And cats still do it to this day. Each and every day, we come across stories of cats adopting humans. Yes, not the other way around. Some cats are just done with outdoor life and are ready to be spoiled, and so they do something about it.

And the kitten in this story, oh, she was very ready. She was completely done with this outside world stuff. She decided that she was too cute, that the outside was too cold, and that humans, scary as they might seem when they're walking past the dumpster you're sleeping in, are actually not all equally as scary. Some might even be okay, and it may just be time to make a choice and get adopted by one of them.

Posted by Elna McHilderson

A man on a neighborhood stroll recently came across a Bengal cat tied to a tree. He found out that the cat's owners always leave him out there and don't take good care of him. The cat was weak from not enough access to food and water and stressed from being tied with a short leash to a tree all day. So, the guy offered to buy this cat and take the responsibility off of their hands. Though the price was not disclosed, we know that the owners agreed and the cat was on his way to healing and living in luxury.

24 Pawsome Pictures of Cats Crafting Catcerto Meowsterpieces on the Purriano

Posted by Sarah Brown

Move over, Beethoven. There's a new meowstro in town! Cats at the purriano know exactly how to tickle the ivories, even if their idea of sheet music is just walking across the keys in dramatic fashion. One second it's a haunting ballad, the next it's pure jazz paws, heavy on the "random paw smash" notes.

Every paw press feels intentional, as if they're composing a meowsterpiece only they can hear. Is it modern, experimental, or just a mewsical mess? Who cares. When it's performed with so much cattitude, it's always entertaining. Bonus points if they throw in a tail flick for emphasis or a dramatic yawn between measures.

Some cats prefer a delicate paw-tap, channeling their inner Chopin, while others go full-on rock concert, slamming chords like they're headlining at Meowchella. Either way, every note is purrfection… even when it's not.

So, the next time you hear a mysterious melody echoing through the living room, don't be surprised. It's just your cat at the purriano, composing their next hit single: "Fur Elise (But With More Meows)."

'She wouldn't survive without me there to feed her': With moving day looming, months of driveway vis

Posted by Sarah Brown

About eighteen months ago, a skinny kitten began appearing on rural five-acre properties during a hot, smoky wildfire season. The hooman put out water, then food, and eventually set up a feral cat house. The cautious visitor, nicknamed Luna, stayed twenty yards away but sat in the driveway each night to watch four indoor cats enjoy cuddle time. When the hooman prepared to move an hour away, the realtor worried Luna would lose her lifeline and suggested trapping her for a vet visit and release to a managed colony.

Trapping took patience: Luna was too light to trigger the door until the sixth attempt. She panicked, then settled the moment the human sat beside the covered crate, a tiny meowment of trust. At the clinic came the plot twist: Luna was already spayed, not feral, and purred nonstop when held. No microchip, no claims, likely abandoned.

The new pawrent drove back for her, set up a secure "intro suite," and began a gentle indoor re-acclimation before meeting the resident quartet. Within two days Luna hopped into laps, delivered head-butts, and requested scritches. From driveway moon to living-room sunbeam, a furever chapter is clearly underway.

“That night he slept with his head in the palm of my hand”: How two feisty feral street kittens tran

Posted by Laurent Shinar

Adopting feral kittens is one heck of a challenge. They have been raised to handle the streets, which are ten times as tough when you are a tenth the size of everything else that walks the same streets you live on. So you can imagine that the concepts of a furever family, comfort, cleanliness and safety did not exactly make sense when these cute kittens were brought home for the first time. And not just the first time, but for months they struggled to settle into the life of luxury that they were offered.

But with enough love, patience and perseverance their cat pawrent managed to get them accustomed to the fancy feline life and to leave those cold, harsh memories of their life on the street outside the front door, for they will not need them anymore.

After adopting three cats this person thought it was over, but then one of them brought home another

Posted by Ayala Sorotsky

The Cat Distribution System really does work in mysterious ways, way beyond our mere human comprehension abilities. Sometimes they simply bring a cat to the one who wished for it, like a gift on a special occasion, celebrating the person's love for cats. And sometimes, it brings an extra cat to the people who least expected to adopt another floofy creature into their clowder, but still expand their family with this extra feline friend. And this is exactly what happened to this kind person - who was already a cat pawrent for three cat kids - but still took in an extra fourth.

But as we said, the CDS words in… meowsterious way, let's put it like that. It wasn't a regular distribution occasion. Because, as you can read below, the fourth feline who joined the family needed the help of an inside agent! One of the three already living the house cat dream brought this extra cat. Like the CDS sonar sent him a ping to go fetch the extra friend. And sure enough, this sleeper agent woke up - and left their hooman no choice. But when we're talking about a cat pawrent three times over, we know we're talking about a true cat lover. Of course, of course the CDS knew they could take a fourth.

The real ones know that the best way to get an extra boost of energy is to scroll through pictures of cats. 25 Hilarious Cat Posts Bringing Big Caturday Energy to Your Feline-less Lunch Break

Posted by Blake Seidel

One of the worst parts about being at work, feline fam, is not having our cats with us. Normally, we do everything together! We nap together, nom on some snackies together, and watch TV while snuggled up on the couch. So it's hard to enjoy our lunch break at work when we always feel that there's something missing… and that thing is cats. Even if it is nice not to have to swat them away while we eat our food, we still miss them attempting to steal it from us. It's cute (sometimes).

If you can't bring your cat to work, then we'll have to bring the cats to you in the form of some hilarious feline posts. These hissterical memes boast big Caturday energy, which we could use right about now, because it's Thursday and the only thing we want more than seeing our cats is for it to be the weekend already. We do not recommend eating anything liquid while scrolling through these memes - the last thing you want is to spray your soup all over Karen from finance because you were giggling too hard. Then, you might be seeing more of your kitties than you would like to (because you would be fired). Don't say we didn't warn you!

'I had one cat last Thursday. By Friday morning, I had six more': Feline pawrent rushes outside to h

Posted by Blake Seidel

We've never actually witnessed a live cat birth before. We've seen videos and pictures online, but to be there in purrson must be a completely different experience. All of our cats have been spayed and neutered, so we've never encountered this issue, but there are lots of stray cats out there roaming the streets that haven't had any hooman intervention yet. Sometimes people TNR (trap, neuter, return) them before they start mating, but others are not so lucky. And then there are those rare times when they seek out hooman help for giving birth, and that's exactly what happened below!

After hearing some squeaking on their front porch, a feline pawrent rushed outside to find a momma cat giving birth right outside of their door. They moved her and her freshly-baked kittens to safety to avoid any potential predators. Waking up the next day, the number of cats in their house went from one to six in just a few hours! It's a meowracle that this hooman helped momma, or else, they might not have survived the night. Now the kittens are looking for good homes, and momma might stay with her rescuer. Isn't it just purrfectly sweet?

Adorable big-eared fennec fox reunites with his childhood cat buddy and can’t contain his excitement

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

When people tell us that cats are aloof, that cats are uncaring, that cats don't actually develop feelings of affection for anyone but themselves, we laugh. Truly, we do. Because we know that nothing is further from the truth. Sure, cats are picky about who they choose to be close to, but once you are chosen, you will receive the full force of the affection that cats have to offer.

And it is not just humans who feel the affection of cats. It's other animals too. Every once in a while, a cat will choose a dog as its best bud. Sometimes, cats will choose birds as their hangout buddies. It doesn't matter how different they are, how different their behavioral clues might be, if they are chosen, then it will work out. And those friendships last lifetimes. Cats remember. They know who their chosen creatures are, and even if they are separated for long periods of time, once they reunite with their friends, it is amazing to see.
